According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. when a Buick Enclave traveling eastbound on Highway 21 collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling southbound on County Road 3 in Montgomery. David sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Buick was not injured.
